Nacimbio Presents Blood Plasma Product BioGam at BioTechMed
Nacimbio, a Rostec State Corporation pharmaceutical holding, is a strategic partner of the 8th BioTechMed 2023 annual forum. The company will present there its new blood plasma product BioGam and other bestsellers to the official delegation representing the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The forum is mainly focused on the current needs in healthcare, development paths for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, technological sovereignty, and the implementation plan for Pharma 2030. On the first day of the forum, these issues will reign the plenary session and a discussion platform given to representatives of federal and regional authorities, experts in the fields of healthcare and science, corporate executives, and professional associations.
As part of the business program, Andrey Zagorskiy, Director Manager of Nacimbio, will be speaking at the session titled “Pricing in Pharmaceuticals” and will highlight the features of registration and price regulations regarding biological products.
At the forum, Nacimbio will also be showcasing its products: BioGam, vaccines, bacteriophages, and other medicinal products.
BioGam is a normal human immunoglobulin presented as a 10% solution, obtained using a technology that ensures the viral safety of the product and a high degree of its purification. It is administered intravenously for replacement or immunomodulating therapy in patients with antibody deficiency disorders. It manages antibody deficiency and increases the level of antibodies up to optimal physiological values, thus reducing the risk of infections in patients. Such therapy is required, in particular, to treat congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies, e.g. in patients with HIV infection, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and Kawasaki disease, as well as to treat and prevent infectious diseases, and in candidates for organ transplantation.
Compared to previous-generation blood products, BioGam, manufactured utilizing the original patented technological platform, is sold as a 10% solution. It helps achieve optimal results in therapy with smaller volumes of the administered drug and in less time. This is especially important for pediatric practice, treatment of pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular diseases, and renal pathology.
In its booth, the company will also present Ultrix Quadri and Sovigripp vaccines—which are widely used in Russia to combat influenza within the National Preventive Immunization Schedule—RuPhages (a line of bacteriophage antibacterial products), Relatox botulinum toxin, and other novelties from Nacimbio.
The BioTechMed Forum is a federally established platform to launch a dialogue between business and government and create comprehensive approaches to solving pressing issues in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, and healthcare. It combines the strengths of both a scientific conference in terms of expert exchange of opinions and exhibition space providing a relevant and objective assessment of the prospects regarding the development of the industry and decision-making. The forum will take place on October 9 to 10, 2023, in Sochi. Traditionally, the event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
